So this is a blog about culture trends (and I’m being intentionally vague.) If you’re not familiar, there’s a thing called “Culture Jamming” which refers to an active disruption of mainstream cultural institutions and advertising.
I’m not equipped well enough to “culture jam” per se, but I can do something cheaper, easier and (at times) more entertaining. I can attempt to show you just some new or unmentioned media and cultural trends. I can give you the jelly– not the jam.
I, by the way, am a 5th year senior (or, as some say, a red-shirt senior) at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ majoring in Journalism and Media Studies, as well as English.
